Press release:
12 SEPTEMBER 2023.
The Munich-based (Germany) indie games publisher Prime Matter and Vancouver-based (Canada) indie games developer Brass Token, today announced with great excitement and happiness that they have just released the “Gloom Below” DLC for their third-person horror action-adventure game “The Chant” (the said DLC is available right now for PC and consoles).

“The Gloom Below” adds additional lore, upgraded abilities, new weapons and some new enemies too, as well as having significant focus on the combat and action elements of the game, giving users many more hours of horrific pleasure; each death leads players closer to their escape so finding the right build will be essential.

This DLC is available free of charge to all owners of the base game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). However, it will need to be redeemed manually rather than an auto-update.
Full instructions are available on the relevant store pages.

In conjunction with the free DLC release, The Chant main game receives a substantial upgrade patch today, featuring significant changes and improvements, including:

– Improved AI: enemies are now more observant and responsive, making more challenging and engaging encounters. Furthermore, enemies can now pursue players further.

– Combat Improvements: players can now experience a more refined combat system, with a smoother and more responsive auto-targeting and more accurate collision mechanics for both player and enemy attacks, resulting in a more immersive and enjoyable combat experience.

– Revised Mind Body Spirit Experience System: enemies are now categorised into three distinct types: Mind, Body, or Spirit. Players gain experience in these categories by defeating corresponding types of enemies. Weapons and Abilities deal increased damage when matched with the same enemy class. Additionally, enemy health meters are colour-coded according to their experience type, aiding players in strategic decision-making.

– Enhanced Visuals: the game now offers a more vibrant and clear vision of The Gloom, enhancing the overall immersive experience.

To celebrate the release of The Gloom Below, The Chant is reducing its price permanently, making it the best chance to hop into the cosmic horrors of The Chant!
