The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher Modern Wolf and El Paso-based (Texas, the US) indie games developer Strange Scaffold, today announced with great thrill and delight that their top-down open-world adventure “Witch Strandings” is coming to PC via Steam on July 7th, 2022 (as announced at the Guerilla Collective 2022 event).

From the mind behind An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs, Xalavier Nelson Jr., Witch Strandings is a top-down open world inspired by dark fairytales. Create pathways through the darkness and nurture injured creatures as you race to save the digital forest and ultimately confront the witch who broke this place.

The game was showcased for the first time in the new trailer shown at The Guerilla Collective, showing off its blend of open world with a unique cursor control method which allows players to physically traverse through the broken forest. Use your mouse to swipe quickly through raging rapids or inch forward to avoid being swallowed by quicksand – as you decide whether to make this a better place or strangle it.

“Witch Strandings is a psychic nightmare about being presented with a truly cursed place–and finding the spirit to make it a good one,” said Xalavier Nelson Jr., Creative Director of Strange Scaffold.

Witch Strandings will be available on PC via Steam on July 7, 2022 for £10.99 // $14.99 // €14,99
