The California-based (the US) indie gaqmes developer Stingbot Games today announced with great delight and thrill that their top-down roguelite turret shooter “Genome Guardian, is now available for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Eshop (a downloadable demo version is currently available on Steam).

Genome Guardian is an intense shooter set in a microscopic world filled with bioluminescent life and lurking horrors. Players must adapt to six game modes, researching permanent upgrades to survive against evolving microbial threats. The game’s depth lies in its strategic combat, where mastering unique DNA-based hybrid weapons is key to success.

With 49 turrets, 96 perks, and 75 weapon mods, players can customize their approach for maximum firepower. Mutations alter each run, while explosive weapon combinations, such as the Bazooka and Flak Cannon, keep battles dynamic. Challenging encounters push players to experiment with different strategies in both standard and endless modes.
