WROCLAW, POLAND – NOVEMBER 30, 2023.
The L.A.-based (CA, the US) indie games publisher Snail Games and Wroclaw-based (Poland) indie games developer Donkey Crew, today announced that their town-building/survival/RPG “Bellwright“, is now coming to PC via Steam Early Access in early 2024 (consoles versions of the game is also planned for a release in 2024).

This announcement follows the game’s latest trailer unveiling on the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, a digital broadcast from PC Gamer showcasing the most highly anticipated upcoming PC releases and wish list-worthy titles.

Bellwright offers a compelling blend of survival and town building set in a richly imagined world. Ruled by a corrupt monarchy in a medieval land on the brink of collapse, players are challenged to build, sustain, and defend their town against the elements and adversaries, all while building a rebellion force to take on the crown and its evil queen. The game integrates strategy, resource management, and survival dynamics for an engaging gaming experience.

Originally slated for a December 2023 release, the team at Donkey Crew has decided to extend the development period to early 2024. This decision was made with the goal of adding additional polish and improvements to ensure Bellwright delivers the ultimate experience to players upon its Early Access launch.

The Early Access phase on Steam will be a crucial period for Bellwright. It provides an invaluable opportunity for players to contribute to the game’s development with their feedback. Bellwright’s concept and gameplay have already resonated with the Steam Community, as evidenced by the game receiving over 100,000 wishlists during Steam Next Fest earlier this year. The event served as a testament to the game’s potential and the enthusiasm of the gaming community.
