“Ash of Gods: TW” is coming to Steam in early 2023

The Nicosia-based (Cyprus) indie games developer AurumDust today announced with great excitement and happiness that their turn-based RPG “Ash of Gods: The Way”, is coming to PC via Steam in early 2023.

Developer AurumDust announces their latest game in its turn-based Ash of Gods series called Ash of Gods: The Way with a vivid new trailer.

This tactical, story-driven card game with hand crafted battles is set to launch in early 2023 and will bring you back to the fantastical world of Terminus. You have a dangerous mission to save your kingdom by infiltrating the enemy’s military.

Choose your way – for home and country!

In Ash of Gods: The Way, players follow the tale of the young and talented Finn, foster-son of Eik, the Berkanan secret service master and a veteran of the old war. To protect his home country Berkana, Finn must carry out a dangerous mission by traveling to the rival kingdom of Frisia and infiltrating the tournaments used to teach their aristocrats the art of warfare. By participating in three different arenas he must gather information on the enemy’s tactics, get close to their most skilled commanders, and undermine their position in the coming war against his people in any way possible.

With the release of a new trailer, AurumDust lifts the veil on the latest game of the critically
acclaimed series. Ash of Gods: The Way is slated to launch in early 2023. The trailer showcases various important features of the game that players can expect to encounter. Tournament battles take place on battlefields of differing shapes and sizes with ever-changing rules and objectives, and the card upgrade system allows for a larger variety of tactical gameplay. Players are forced to adapt their strategies and adjust their winning decks often in order to keep coming out on top. There are many ways to tackle every challenge, and every player is sure to develop their own tactics.

The trailer also shows some of the characters that players will run into in visual novel-like conversations and cutscenes that may influence the story and determine which path the player takes. Players will experience a different ending depending on how they perform during tournaments and what choices they make throughout the game.

Together with its original two-deck gameplay, unique mission objectives, and a diverse array of locations, The Way makes sure to keep the stakes high. To achieve victory, players must approach every fight from a fresh perspective. Can they make the right decisions and prevent a war that will devastate their home and the entire Berkana Kingdom?

AurumDust expects to release Ash of Gods: The Way in early 2023, but players don’t have to wait long to get a first impression of the game. Those interested can download the Prologue in just one month, or get familiar with the Universe by downloading Ash of Gods: Redemption. Redemption sold over 180,000 copies since its release in 2018 and has won several awards such as the Best Conference Game at the Games Gathering Conference in 2021.

Ash of Gods: The Way is already off to a great start and won the award for Best Art at the Games Gathering Conference in 2021 thanks to its unique artstyle. In 2021 the game also received the title of Best PC Game at the Indie Cup – the largest indie games contest in Eastern Europe.
