“Ash of Gods: The Way” is soon coming to PC & Switch

The Nicosia-based (Cyprus) indie games developer AurumDust today announced with great excitement and happiness that their turn-based strategy card game “Ash of Gods: The Way”, is coming to PC (via Steam) and the Nintendo Switch (via the Nintendo Eshop) on April 27th, 2023.

Players can dive into this mixture of tactical turn-based battles and deck-building card game elements on both PC and the Nintendo Switch™. Although yet to be released, the game has already won awards for Best Art at the Games Gathering Conference and Best PC Game at the Indie Cup.

Ash of Gods: The Way will be available on Steam and in the Nintendo eShop for $24.99 / €24.99 / £20.99, with a launch discount of 10%. Players who own Ash of Gods: Redemption on Steam will gain a loyalty discount of an additional 10% when purchasing Ash of Gods: The Way in the Steam Store at launch.

Which Way will be yours?

In the battle-worn world of tactical turn-based card game Ash of Gods: The Way, players will build decks of warriors, equipment and spells from four different factions. Only then can they master The Way — a brutal card game guarded by the enemy’s aristocracy and used to hone their fiercest commanders in the air of warfare.

Finn is a young man who experienced the terror of the enemy’s tactics firsthand when they destroyed his home and ruined his family. Now, many years later, he is the only one who can protect his country from witnessing the same tragedy once more by throwing himself into the lion’s den.

In a game of The Way, players must deploy a warrior and a support card before sending their units towards the enemy’s commander on the battlefield. As is often the case in war, things don’t always go as planned. Players must think on their feet and change up their deck regularly to survive as rules change from battle to battle, and sometimes in the middle of a fight.

The game also offers an interactive story featuring multiple endings and fully voice-acted cutscenes and dialogue. The choices that players make both on and off the battlefield can have lasting consequences that just might change the course of history — for better or worse.

Ash of Gods: The Way is launching on April 27th on Steam and in the Nintendo eShop.

Exploring the universe of Ash of Gods

Ash of Gods: The Way is the second full-length game that takes place in Terminus, which is the universe of the series. Players who want to get acquainted with this medieval fantasy world in preparation for the upcoming release can play AurumDust’s previous game Ash of Gods: Redemption. Redemption sold over 180,000 copies since its release in 2018 and won several awards, such as the Best Conference Game at the Games Gathering Conference in 2021.
