The California-based (the US) indie games developer Burst2Flame Entertainment today announced with great joy and pride that they have just released a brand-new game-changing update for their turn-based tactical RPG/dungeon crawler “Stolen Realm” (the new update is available right now for PC via Steam).

The v0.15.6 update brings several new features that will affect the core gameplay of the game – as well as many quality-of-life improvements and fine-tweaks.

The main new mechanic implemented in this patch is the inclusion of exploding barrels with area-of-effect damage, as well as movable crates. These items bring new depth to the tactical layer of the game, making the positioning of your heroes more important than ever: crates can be moved, and barrels explode when hit with different effects (Ice barrels slow movement, Fire barrels cause damage, Smoke barrels increase your dodge chance). You can use all this to your advantage… but be careful – so can your enemy!

On top of that, the new Enemy Modifications feature (which gives enemies random modifiers like High Regeneration, Explosion on Death or Increased Movement Speed) will make each enemy unique and each battle different. Stolen Realm is a mix of turn-based tactical RPG and dungeon crawler looter, where you lead a party of up to 6 heroes in single-player or online coop adventures in a low-poly, high-fantasy world.
