The Spain-based indie games developer Poison Pill Games are today very happy and proud to announce that their vegetables-themed turn-based strategy/deckbuilder/roguelike game “Vegangsters“, is coming to PC via Steam in 2024.

In Vegangsters, players will fight against the worst criminals in a series of turn-based combats determined by the speed of the cards. They will have to make their way through this deckbuilder roguelike with real-time mechanics, and save the city from the Vegangsters!

n addition to this good news, Vegangsters has been selected as one of the games that will be part of the European Game Showcase (EGS) in the framework of the Game Developers Conference (GDC) this year, that the studio will attend.

Those interested can find Poison Pill Games at the Pabellón de España in the GDC during the event opening times, and on March 19, from 4PM to 8PM local time, at Swissnex, Pier 17, Suite 800, San Francisco during the EGS presentation.

Tubercle City has given in to crime, with neighborhoods controlled by different criminals and organized gangs. The only one who can stop this filthy scum is Patt, a potato inspector with no friends but with the duty of protecting citizens at all costs.

In order to free each neighborhood, players will have to build up a deck of powerful cards and devise a winning strategy to defeat their enemies in a combat system based on card speed. They will have to master the action times of each enemy, learn how to use different types of cards and control their activation speed, thus dealing strong blows or applying curious altered states to enemies.

Upon defeating their enemies, players will earn rewards that will allow them to upgrade their decks and their stats, as well as obtain gadgets that will create the most incredible synergies, or visit Jenny Grapeeth’s store, where they’ll be able to buy other exclusive improvements. And while exploring the city, they will interact with different random events where they’ll learn more about the characters and will have to make careful decisions if they don’t want to end up harmed.
