Radical nostalgia trip, The Videokid, grinds, ollies and kickflips its way onto PlayStation 4
Grazed knees, smashed windows, and road pizzas collide on December 11th
Press release:
6th December 2018 – Get ready to take a trip through memory lane as the coin collecting, The Videokid, careens onto PlayStation 4 from December 11th. Indie developer Pixel Trip Studios is teaming up with publisher Chorus Worldwide to bring this retro throwback, filled with your favourite ‘80s memories, to PlayStation players.
Weave through traffic, grind on cars, kickflip, ollie, perform mad combos, all while flinging tapes into your customers’ mailboxes. You only have one life and death stalks every polygonal course – can you survive long enough to reach your girlfriend Jessica?
Accompanied by a nostalgic soundtrack, written by DJ Savant, The Videokid is packed full of all that rad ‘80s goodness that will have you yelling ‘cowabunga’ and blowing dust out of your game cartridges in no time.
“With so many fond memories of playing the original CD spinning PlayStation as a teenager, it’s so exciting to have the Videokid coming out on PS4 all these years later!” said Adam Jeffcoat, Director at Pixel Trip Studios. “Skateboards, mullets, epic TV shows and pirate videos…The Videokid is basically one big nostalgic journey through my own ‘80s childhood.”
Shintaro Kanaoya, CEO of Chorus Worldwide Games Limited, said:
“We’re really excited that The Videokid is coming to PS4!
We’ve been asked about this constantly since the game launched on Switch and Xbox One in September, so we know PS4 players will be thrilled that they can finally jump on the board and get their ‘80s on.”
The Videokid comes to PlayStation 4 on December 11th in the EU and NA.
