The Gothenburg-based (Sweden) indie games publisher Thunderful and Bucharest-based (Romania) indie games developer Sand Sailor Studio, are today very pleased to announce that they have just released the biggest content update yet for their Viking themed open-world survival colony builder, ‘ASKA’.

The new “Seaborne Raiders” update finally lets you leave land and take to the sea to explore new horizons. The new update introduces raiding, two new biomes, a new boss, a new faction and even a new sea monster.

The news raid mechanic allows you to set sail to new islands, where your sailboat will be established as a temporary outpost. Acquire resources from these raided islands, battle their factions and then return home with your hoard. In the Salt Flats biome, you can take on a flying boss, the Ravendrake, and gain access to Golem technology – a new type of villager that never gets hungry and works continuously. Alongside the new Slat Flats and Marsh Lands biomes, there are many scattered islands to explore too, hiding undead enemies, fresh challenges and rewards. Just beware of the Whaleslug beneath the waves once you set sail…

In ASKA, you build and sustain a powerful Viking tribe where you and your villagers work, craft, hunt, and fight together. Command intelligent NPC villagers, guiding them through the challenges of survival in a harsh and dangerous world. Play solo or with up to three friends and forge your legend.
