Press release:
Lyon, France – March 26, 2026 – VR Studio LDLC today announced the worldwide launch of TaVRn’s Takedown, a new virtual reality beat ’em up set in the irreverent world of Naheulbeuk. Available now on Steam and Meta platforms, the game throws players into wild, over-the-top tavern brawls as they fight their way toward becoming the next legend of Mliuej.

Players arrive in the city of Mliuej, where corruption runs deep and enchanted drinks spark unpredictable tavern-wide melees. Ducking flying chairs, blocking punches, and smashing stools over enemies’ heads, adventurers must master both strategy and improvisation before diving into chaotic bar fights.

The goal? Clear tavern after tavern of drunken troublemakers, defeat epic bosses, and restore order one punch at a time. Equal parts absurd adventure and stress-relieving brawler, TaVRn’s Takedown embraces the ridiculous spirit of the Naheulbeuk universe.

A Heroic Voice Cast

TaVRn’s Takedown features a talented voice cast, including well-known actors and guest performers who bring its eccentric characters to life:

Cécile Corbel – Singer-songwriter, harpist, and French vocalist, she composed the soundtrack for the 2010 film Arietty: The Secret World of Arrietty from Studio Ghibli. And yes, she’ll be lending her voice to the character of Picrate for English & French version.

Corin Nemec – American actor, producer, and writer. He fought bravely in the legendary series Parker Lewis Can’t Lose in the ’90s, and later ventured through the stars in Stargate SG-1.Soon, he shall lend his mighty voice to the Boss Dark Lager.

FallCosplay – Australian cosplayer and actress, proud member of the mighty Deerstalker Pictures fellowship.Armed with creativity and talent, she will lend her voice to the valiant Margaux in the English version.

Luke Dale – Luke won over players as the unforgettable Hans Capon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 and 2, mixing noble swagger with peak lovable troublemaker energy. He sounds exactly like the guy who starts the night with a toast and ends it standing on a table.

Tracy Wiles, Tim Downie & Andrew Wincott – Tracy, Tim, and Andrew are bringing full-on Baldur’s Gate 3 firepower to Tavrn’s Takedown. You’ve heard Tim’s iconic Gale swagger, Andrew’s dangerously smooth Raphael menace, and Tracy’s razor-sharp intensity in worlds built on chaos, magic, and bad decisions, so throwing them into a tavern brawl feels less like casting and more like unleashing absolute mayhem.

Terrence Stone – Terrence brings serious gaming firepower, with a voice fans will know from Blizzard’s Hearthstone and a long run of larger-than-life performances. He’s got the perfect “step into the tavern, steal the spotlight, and maybe the last drink too” kind of presence.

Ryan Highley – Actor known for his roles in Dofus, Road 96, and Haven. One of the main voices of the Rôle’n Play show on YouTube.

Behind-the-scenes episodes highlighting the voice cast are available on VR Studio LDLC’s official YouTube channel.

The Naheulbeuk Universe Enters Virtual Reality

Developed by VR Studio LDLC in partnership with John Lang, Blanktone Studio, Artefacts Studio, and Clair de Lune, TaVRn’s Takedown marks the first virtual reality title set in the Naheulbeuk franchise.

Created in 2001 by John Lang, The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk began as a comedic fantasy MP3 series parodying traditional role-playing tropes. It quickly grew into a cult phenomenon, expanding into comics, novels, video games, and even a music project, Naheulband, blending Celtic, medieval, and metal influences.

Stay up to date on TaVRn’s Takedown via X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the official website and don’t forget to wishlist the game on Steam today!
