MONTREAL — 03 March 2026 — Borealys Games is excited to announce that their wacky asynchronous card battler, Lunchbreak Tactics, is bringing the chaos of the breakroom to Steam on April 28th. Developed by the team behind Mages of Mystralia, this strategy card game turns your local superstore into a battlefield where everyday objects become legendary warriors.

Players can wishlist and try out the updated demo and wishlist the game on Steam today, ahead of release, and watch the official gameplay trailer to see the retail-fueled chaos in action.
In Lunchbreak Tactics, players are determined to escape the mundanity of their new supermarket job by mastering the latest card game craze that is sweeping the staffroom. To claim the title of “Ultimate Slacker of the Month,” players must pick a Hero to lead their army, and two clans to select their squad of cards from, all of which are based on inanimate store objects, from pirate-themed popcorn to warrior pillows.
Those who clock in at launch can look forward to a shopping cart of content:
● 16 total heroes to meet and wield in lunch break battles
● 6 total clans to experiment with, including the 3 already available in the demo
● Over 200 cards capable of wacky synergies waiting to be discovered
● Push your card battling skills to the limit in the new King of the Hill game mode
● A monthly season ranking system to crown the “Ultimate Slacker of the Month”

Whether it’s your day off or you are quickly chugging an energy drink before heading back out to a busy shift, players can jump into multiplayer battles anytime. With asynchronous multiplayer, every employee can play at their own pace.
