The Poland-based indie games developers Crunching Koalas and the Norway-based indie games developers Studio Gauntlet are today very happy and excited to announce that their wholesome couch co-op party game “Bonkies” is now available for PC (via Steam) , PS4 (via PSN), Xbox One (via the Microsoft store), and the Nintendo Switch (via the Nintendo Eshop).

Can you imagine what would happen if we’d task monkeys with space construction tasks? Well, no need to wonder no more. It happened, and now the little happy mammals need your help! Let’s not waste any more time! There’s a job to do and bananas to be eaten!

Bonkies is a game about fun, joy and most of all – up to 4 player co-operation with your monkey friends! The team of monkeys are set to colonize new planets by building various structures on their surface! Sure they will succeed with the help of the useful gadgets like banana-fuelled jetpack and a powerful robo-arm.

The game offers a challenging experience, but is first and foremost a light-hearted and joyful take on construction builders and couch co-op games.

The gameplay in Bonkies is all about stacking! Grab the block and stack it on top of another! That’s how it goes! Sometimes you may even need to utilize various special blocks – magnets, rockets and even nuclear fusion are no strangers for a well-trained apestronaut.

So stack your way through the galaxy in both single and multiplayer modes and venture through tons of beautifully hand-crafted levels!

About Studio Gauntlet
The team found each other through the university of Trondheim and the startup community there. Alex and Christer, the founders of the studio, both studied together to become industrial designers, they both focused on concepts that aimed at promoting cooperative and social gaming.

When Lise joined as a producer, a team of 2 became a team of 3 with a grand vision to become the greatest Nordic game development studio for social local co-op games!
