LONDON, UK – June 10, 2023.
The London-based (the UK) indie games publisher Fireshine Games and Sheffield-based (the UK) indie games developer Triplevision Games Limited, today announced with great delight and thrill that their survival/roguelike city-builder “These Doomed Isles: The First God” (the prologue chapter to survival city-builder “These Doomed Isles”), is coming to PC via Steam Early Access this September (2023).

Debuted at the OTK Games Expo, the new trailer introduces the story of Cernunnos, Plutus and Acan, the Celtic, Greek and Mayan gods players will get to play as when the game launches in Early Access this September. Additional playable gods will be introduced throughout the Early Access period, ahead of the game’s full 1.0 launch in 2024.

In These Doomed Isles, players must raise islands, build settlements, and provide shelter, resources and defences to help their followers survive against raiders, natural disasters and mythological monstrosities. Place forests, rivers, mountains and more, and craft your deck to bring the world to life with powerful cards, relics and miracles in this strategic settlement-building roguelike.

Players interested in trying the game today can jump into These Doomed Isles: The First God now to experience a prologue chapter featuring Cernunnos, the Celtic god of nature. Start your journey in the world of These Doomed Isles today and transfer your progress over to the Early Access version when it launches this September.

In addition, a brand new playable demo giving players the first opportunity to play as Plutus, the Greek god of wealth, will be available to download on Steam for a limited time from this Friday, June 16. Lead a new civilization to victory and discover new buildings, cards, enemies and an entirely new boss to defeat.

GAME FEATURES:

Raise Islands – In this survival city-builder, you are a god who must build & defend island settlements. Use your powers to harvest resources, provide shelter for your followers & protect your settlement from attacks, plague, starvation & more. Place land to expand, but beware of what lurks beyond the horizon!
Create Life – Craft a deck of cards to create land and place forests, rivers, mountains and more. Bring the world to life with powerful cards, relics and miracles.
Build Your Settlement – Build homes for your followers, carefully manage their requirements and give them the tools they need to exploit the environment you’ve created.
Harvest Cards – Harvest cards to craft the deck you want. Manage the cards in your deck to ensure you can thrive (or, at the very least, survive) until the next harvest.
Survive – Will you survive these doomed isles? Face increasing challenges as natural disasters scar your land and waves of raiders and mythical sea monsters attack from beyond the horizon.
