13 MARCH 2026 – NCSOFT and developer Mistil Games are thrilled to announce the Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Time Takers is officially live. Starting today, registered players can head to Steam to join the fray, and registration remains open for eager heroes who don’t want to miss out. This test marks the first public hands-on for the highly anticipated survival shooter, where every second can make the difference between life and death.

The Time Takers CBT runs from March 13th to March 21st, with play windows open for eight hours each day to ensure peak competition and stable matchmaking. Servers will be open from PDT: 16:00 to 00:00 (EDT: 19:00, BRT: 20:00) each day.

Time Takers is a fast-paced, team-based survival shooter where time is the ultimate resource. Unlike traditional shooters, your “Time Energy” acts as your lifespan. Players must make high-risk, high-reward decisions in critical situations: spend time to upgrade abilities and builds mid-match, or share your remaining moments with a teammate in need to keep the squad in the fight until the last second.

In Time Takers, there are no fixed roles. Every match is shaped by player choice, team coordination, and moment-to-moment judgment rather than pre-defined classes. Whether you play as an aggressor or support depends on how you spend your time.

This CBT will give players a look at the Time Takers’ core gameplay experience, including:

12 Playable Characters: A diverse cast ranging from a spacesuited monkey to a samurai from feudal Japan.

3 Battle Zones: Fight across the Japanese-themed Yokogawa, the medieval corridors of Morstadt, and the neon-drenched Miraesi.

10 Unique Weapons: Master a varied arsenal tailored to high-speed combat.

Trio Mode: Experience the core 3-player competitive mode where coordination is key.

Players can also join the Time Takers Official Discord for a chance to take part in the Epic Clips Event and be included in the CBT highlights video, as well as the Nitro Invite Challenge, where they can win a year of Discord Nitro by inviting friends to the fight.

The first Time Takers CBT is focused on the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, but those in other regions will not have to wait long. After this initial phase, Mistil Games plans to host a Global Beta Test ahead of the full launch later this year on both PC and consoles.
