MADRID – August 18th, 2017 – Publisher BadLand Games and developer FuturLab are pleased to announce the final release date for for the award-winning sci-fi platformer Velocity 2X: Critical Mass Edition. Coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as a boxed release on August 25th, 2017, in Europe and on October 3rd in America. On top of that, if you pre-order the game, you’ll receive an exclusive artbook courtesy of FuturLab (retailer-dependent).
Fans and newcomers to the franchise will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the development of Velocity 2X with war stories about the game’s creation, bass thumping tunes from the soundtrack, and the buttery-smooth 60 fps puzzle-platforming action Velocity 2X is known for.

Velocity 2X: Critical Mass Edition casts players as Lt. Kai Tana, the pilot of the prototype Quarp Jet. Nefarious tactics send Kai Tana and her teleporting Quarp Jet to a galaxy ruled by the evil Vokh, a tyrannical race of aliens who believe they have a divine right to rule the universe. They’ve created an armada by enslaving other races and seek to make humanity their next conquest. Kai Tana must free the enslaved races and use her Quarp Jet to stop the Vokh before they can discover its secrets and invade Earth.
