Good Shepherd Entertainment has released “Where the Water Tastes Like Wine: Fireside Chats“, a free standalone experience as a companion to the story-driven American folklore adventure game from co-developers Dim Bulb Games and Serenity Forge for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.

Available as a separate download on Steam, Fireside Chats adds exclusive story content for all of the folktales from the game’s sixteen characters. The app also makes the entirety of the Dire Wolf’s first chapter from the full game playable for free for those who have yet to experience this unique journey through a century of Americana.

To make the adventure complete, the original Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is on sale for 35% off down to €12.99 from now until Nov. 19 on Steam.

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is an imaginative trek through history featuring gorgeous 2D/3D visuals and original folk music. Meet surreal characters as you explore the nation’s most distant haunts, collecting and sharing an eclectic medley of stories from some of today’s most prolific writers. Bringing them all to life is a remarkable cast of voice talent, including renowned singer-songwriter, musician and actor Sting, Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series), Cissy Jones (Firewatch), Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect) and more.
