Press release:
The Krakow-based (Poland) indie games publisher and developer DRAGO entertainment, today announced that they have postponed the PC release of “Winter Survival” (their story-driven, sanity-testing sandbox survival game) via Steam Early Access to March 6th, 2024, to accommodate player feedback from Steam Next Fest.

DRAGO entertainment’s main goal has always been to properly convey a challenging survival simulation.

While this prospect will remain unchanged, additional difficulty options will encourage survivalists to dial in the challenge to their liking for better accessibility. Those who prefer the hardcore mechanics can still test themselves in higher difficulty modes.

Wolves’ behavior will see reworks for a more rewarding gameplay experience. These new implementations will require more time, which led to the difficult decision of postponing Winter Survival by one week.

Forced to survive a frigid wilderness, use skill and wit as an inexperienced outdoorsman to brave the elements, battle blood-thirsty predators, and find a way to return to society.

Scavenge for materials to craft tools, shelter, clothing, campfires, and more. Create impromptu weapons to hunt wildlife, or to defend against ferocious packs of wolves, aggressive boars, and a ravenous bear.

Utilize stealth and traps to avoid dangerous situations and escape to fight another day.

Stress compounds thanks to isolation, starvation, and freezing temperatures, causing survivalists’ minds to fray. Maintain sanity while facing the unknown, or nightmarish hallucinations may begin to manifest.

Search for a path to civilization while discovering the secrets of an abandoned town in Story Mode. Endure escalating challenges of a freezing winter in Coldwave Mode, and survive as long as possible in Endless Mode.

Winter Survival will launch on PC via Steam Early Access on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, with console versions planned for the future. For more information, wishlist the game on Steam and follow DRAGO entertainment on Twitter and Facebook.
