The personality-filled platformer invites players to get creative and win $100 prize, as devs also release official soundtrack albums.

Press release:
16 FEBRUARY 2018 – Hot on the heels of releasing the Yeah Jam Fury soundtrack on Valentine’s Day, McLeodGaming and World Entertainment Studios are announcing a stage building contest set to begin today, Friday 16th February – named Ms. Carrot’s Stage Builder Rage Builder Contest – and are offering a $100 prize for the winner.

Don’t have the game? Don’t worry. A demo version of the game, available via the website, features 10 curated stages and slots for a player to make five custom stages, allowing everyone to participate in the contest and submit their best for judgement.

Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody! is an energetic, personality-filled platformer, which fuses the multi-character puzzling of Trine with the madcap challenge of Super Meat Boy. In a test of speed and ingenuity players are propelled through over 100 levels of smiley blocks, bright colours and original music, whilst attempting not to fall into the abyss.

Here are the brackets players can win in:

– Yeah League: For Artistry and Aesthetic
– Jam League: For Athleticism and Reactive Skill
– Fury League: For Puzzles and Thinking Challenges

Players will have one month to submit their stages for judges to look over. In addition to the above, they’ll get points for creativity and originality. The three winners will be announced just after Easter and receive:

– $100 (or International equivalent) Amazon eGift Card
– A Steam Key for Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody!
– Copies of both Soundtracks
– A digital copy of a very high-resolution realistic Mango poster
– (If you’re in the US) A physical copy of that same poster

Players can find the submission rules on the McLeod gaming website.

If that’s not enough Yeah Jam Fury for you, then the official soundtrack, as well as the soundtrack for the original 2012 version of the game, are also available on Bandcamp at the rate of Pay What You Want. The new game’s OST also includes an exclusive track ‘What To Do With All These Memories?’ which is an inspired take on one of the developers in-game compositions.

Willy Abeel of World Entertainment Studios said: “Folks have already uploaded some excellent levels on the Workshop, and this is a chance to open things up to more people.”

Greg McLeod of McLeodGaming added: “With all stage builder features unlocked for the duration of the contest, it’s a great opportunity for players to wear the game designer’s hat and challenge the game’s own creators.”

About Yeah Jam Fury
Yeah Jam Fury: U, Me, Everybody! tests your speed and ingenuity in over 100 levels of smiley blocks and falls into the abyss. The mango lies in wait for you to reach out and grab it. And this trio of dudes is just about hungry enough to help you:

Yeah, AKA Mr. Fabricate, takes steady aim and fires blocks to set the path. He’s good at controlling everything except his mouth.

Jam, AKA Mr. Navigate, is so full of energy he literally bounces of the walls. Good luck getting a handle on him.

Fury, AKA Mr Eradicate, AKA Lover Boy, is the meat. He can’t jump, but blocks break in his wake.

Switch dudes, take action, fall, respawn, fall, respawn, wait a moment, fall, respawn, and scale those blocks to get the mango!

About the Developers
World Entertainment Studios (led by Willy Abeel) and McLeodGaming (led by Greg McLeod) have been making games together since college. Yeah Jam Fury is the evolution of a continued creative collaboration that saw them work on the same 2D platformer for five years (right?!) but, somehow, they’re still friends. McLeodGaming is a games studio and online gaming portal and community with almost 25,000 members.
