If you grew up during the 90s, and you just happen to have loved Pepsi. Then it’s probably very likely that you haven´t forgotten about Crystal Pepsi (since it was a big thing during the early 90’s). Although it’s campaign didn’t last long, Crystal Pepsi was a very big staple in the cola game—the first of its kind to be exact. And since its debut and retirement, fans have shouted for its return. Well, Pepsi has finally answered the call. And announced that Crystal Pepsi will be returning to the store shelves on the 8th of August this summer.

And for those who didn´t know it. Last year, Pepsi had a contest for fans via the Pepsi Pass app to win a case of Crystal Pepsi. The contest, which took place on Dec. 10-11 awarded more than 13,000 six-packs of 16oz bottles to 13,000 winners. Many speculated that this was a prelude to a revival of the classic drink, and those speculations paid off very well.

Fans in Canada will be able to enjoy the drink almost a full month early starting July 7th. As part of its marketing campaign Pepsi is releasing its version of Oregon Trail for Pepsi. In the game, Players will collect 90 items along the trail, and will have many 90’s nostalgic references. Tamagochi, Furby’s, and even bucket hats will all be seen throughout the game. There won’t be any Tv ads to display the revival of the soft drink, but in typical 90’s fashion, stores will have the original push button ads that you can listen to including “Whoomp there it is.”

Although Pepsi will only be letting fans enjoy Crystal Pepsi for eight weeks, that’s surely enough time to get nostalgic about your favorite 90’s games, shows, and music as well. We want to know how you were first introduced to Crystal Pepsi if you remember it, and what was your favoured 90’s game that was out around it’s time. Personally, I choose Pokémon Blue version for the Nintendo Gameboy. Give us your thoughts in the comments.
