Believe it or not, but I have actually not done a single Gaming keyboard review for TGG since we started back in 2014 (my brother Jonas has reviewed the Roccat Ryos TkL Pro and Roccat Horde Aimo Gaming keyboard though).
So, yeah…I think it’s about time for me to change that negative trend of mine. Well, luckily enough for me. I got a chance to justify myself on that front.
You see, just recently I got the chance to review the Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo Gaming keyboard (I’ve been using a Microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000 for the longest of time now. So I’m sure glad that I got to try something else for a change).
So for the last three weeks, I have been using the Vulcan 120 Aimo for everything from Gaming (which is the keyboard’s primary field of use), office work, video editing, and causal Internet surfing.
Well, everything worked like a charm from the very start. I mean, the installment process was very easy. So I was good to go in just a couple of minutes (the Swarm software isn’t that hard to learn and use either).
So before I knew it. I was having a blast with some of my favorite games and sorting out work with no sweat at all. As awesome as that might sound though.
I did experience some downsides to the Vulcan 120 Aimo. For example, I think that the wrist rest piece could have been better.
I also have a feeling that the keyboard’s ergonomics is going to take some time to get used to for most people. Other than that, for some odd reason, there are no USB pass-throughs (I have no idea why…).
Nevertheless, all in all, The Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo is a great and very impressive mechanical gaming keyboard with no doubt.
So if you want to get yourself a really good and cool looking mechanical gaming keyboard, then look no further then the Roccat vulcan 120 Aimo!
Pros:
+ The design is very colorful and cool looking.
+ Very comfortable switches.
+ Great and smooth performance.

+ The keyboard works like a charm for both Gaming and work purposes.
Cons:
– There are no USB pass-throughs whatsoever.
– The 266 USD price tag might be a turn off for some people.
– The wrist rest could have been better.
– The ergonomics takes some time to get used to.
Technology: 4/5
Comfort: 4.5/5
Software: 4/5
Design: 4.5/5
Verdict: 4.5/5
Roccat’s Vulcan 120 Aimo gaming keyboard has managed to nail pretty much everything down when it comes to performance, design, tech, and comfort. However, there are a handful of downsides to the Vulcan 120 Aimo keyboard.
Nevertheless, it’s still a great and very impressive mechanical gaming keyboard that should fit like a glove among most PC gamers out there.
