I am more than aware that Konami isn’t exactly the same company as they used to be (check out my and Phil’s “An open letter to Konami and its fans” OP). Even so, my memories of the “Metal Gear Solid” series will never die. You see, I’ve been a fan of “Metal Gear” since the NES days (yes, I didn’t play the MSX version of “Metal Gear” first. In the matter of fact, I didn’t do that before the late 90s). So, yeah, I have played quite a few MG games since the 80s. Nevertheless, I still like the old-school Metal Gear games the best (MGS 2,3 and MGS Twin Snakes are still my three favorite MGS games to this very day). Furthermore, just like everybody else. I have a set of MGS characters that I love more than the rest of the Metal Gear character line-up, and one of my all-time favorite characters is Sniper Wolf.
Why? Because I love everything about her, her sexiness and her deadliness (when I was younger, I thought of her as the female version of “Cobra: The Space Pirate”). So as you might have imagined, I got quite happy when I found out about Yagiyama Yunu’s super awesome Sniper Wolf cosplay :3 (as seen in the pictures down below) And truth be told, I probably wouldn’t have found out about Yunu’s Snipwer Wolf cosplay if it hadn’t been for Zan Woo (thanks man!). Anyways, so, who exactly is Yagiyama “Yun” Yunu then? (aka “Yunker Yagiyama” or “Yunyun Country”). Well, she’s a really talented Japanese cosplayer, and she sure put her skills to a test when she transformed herself in to Sniper Wolf (she did a great job I have to say).
So I truly hope that you guys and girls will like her Sniper Wolf cosplay just as much as I did =) And speaking of which, the first three pictures down below are brand-new, and the others after it got released back in January this year (they are freaking awesome as well imo).
It’s also worth mentioning that Yunu has done plenty of other cosplays besides her Sniper Wolf cosplay. For example, she has cosplayed as everything from Beatrix (“Final Fantasy IX“), Lulu (“Final Fantasy X“), Meiko Shiraki (“Prison School”) to Hanji Zoe (“Attack on Titan“). In other words, if you liked Yunu’s cosplay of Sniper Wolf, then you should most definitely check out her other cosplays as well. Sadly enough though, my Japanese is very poor. So I’m not 100% sure if I would be able to do an interview with Yunu. So I truly hope that her English is better than my Japanese. As I would love to get a chance to interview her about cosplay, Gaming and whatnot. Oh well, time will tell I guess (I will do my best!).
As for here and now though, you will find Yunu’s older Sniper Wolf pictures down below (I have also added links to her social media pages further down the page):
And with that said, what’s your take on Yagiyama Yunu’s Sniper Wolf cosplay? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
