Ever since I started to write about PC games back in 2007, there has always been people who has asked me “will I be able to run this game on my PC?“. In fact, it´s the nr 1 most common asked question for me (us). And it doesn´t matter if it´s via our homepage, Youtube, Twitch or social media. Don´t get me wrong now, i/we don´t mind that kind of question (s). Not at all. As it´s quite obvious that you would like to know the minimum and recommended requirements for a PC game before you buy it.
Sure, you could always Google it. But there’s actually a much simpler way to achieve satisfaction in this case. And that´s to use a free online service called “Can you run it” (systemrequirementslab). And I found out about that web-based solution today actually, so i´ve been trying it out for an hour or so now. And i have to say that it works rather flawless so far. And here´s the best part (besides the “free-to-use” part), “Can you run it” is really simple to use.
Just type in the game that you´re looking for. Then click the button “Can i run it”, then your all set! You can even choose if you want to use “Can I run it” as an Desktop App as well (that way you can just search for your PC games direct via your Desktop instead). So “hopefully” this will be of good use (help) for all you Gamer boys and girls out there =)
How it works
Can you run it provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer’s hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer’s components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products. Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you’ll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.
