Ever since i watched my very first Jackie Chan movie in the late 80s (in this case “Drunken Master”) i have been very interested in Kung Fu (and martial arts in general). Then i started to watch Bruce Lee´s and Jet Li´s movies shortly after that. So yeah, i´ve been hooked to fighting movies since birth pretty much. And when the huge wave of beat-em-up (Double Dragon, Kung-Fu Master, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and fighting games (Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter) hit the market in the 80s and 90s.

I was hooked up on that as well. So i got quite excited when i found out about Mark media´s iOS Kung Fu fighting episodic adventure game “Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess” today. And why is that? Because the whole team behind “Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess” is really talented (many has worked for DC Comic, Bioware and Sony Online Entertainment previously).

“Shuyan the kung fu princess” gave me some “Mulan” and “Jade Empire” vibes.

For example, the writers of “Shuyan” has worked on titles such as “Star Wars: The Old Republic“, “Mass Effect”, “Batman: Arkham Asylum” and “Dragon Age: Origins”. Then you got the super talented  Chinese comic artist Daxiong Guo on the team as well (he has drawn for  DC Comics, WildStorm and Dark Horse Comics), Mr Guo has worked on titles such as “Star Wars“, “Top 10” and  “Justice League”.

So there´s a whole Allstar team behind “Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess” really. But sadly enough there´s no release date for the game just yet, and i sure hope that there will be a gameplay trailer for “Shuyan” in the near future as well.

About Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess:

Shuyan the Kung Fu Princess is an episodic action- adventure game for the iOS that takes players on a combat- packed, enlightening journey to discover the true meaning of kung fu.
