It seems like racism is a one-way street nowadays, because apparently it´s perfectly fine for someone of color to be openly racist against white people. I´m going to be very clear about one thing before I move on. Racism is never EVER okay, no matter if it´s against a black, yellow, white person or whatever, the same thing goes for sexism. So I was very surprised to see what Polygon´s contributor Tauriq Moosa (he also writes for The Guardian and io9) tweeted out just recently.
However, this would not be the first time that Tauriq Moosa has caused quite a lot of fuss, but his probably most well-known for his “Colorblind: On The Witcher 3, Rust, and gaming’s race problem” article (which he wrote for Polygon). An article in which he complained about the lack of people of color, keep this in mind though. The Witcher 3 is based on 13th century Polish mythology, and there wasn´t exactly all that many people of color in Poland around that time. So it´s like I would complain over the lack of white people in a game that takes place in Kenya around the 13th century (or something like that).
Anyhow, I just thought that I could share my thoughts on this matter. So what do you think about Tauriq Moosa´s tweet? Did he step out of line? Or was it nothing to bother about?
