Creative Assembly is to tease a big announcement for Total War: Warhammer fans during the EGX Rezzed event on March 31st. Furthermore, today the Total War homepage has turned into a countdown page with a steamy rainforest and a pyramid temple in the background. So, what does all that mean? Well, for those versed in Warhammer lore this is very similar to the jungle continent of Lustria and the temple in the background belongs to the much-anticipated Lizardmen race. So there is a tiny chance we’re all mistaken and this is the announcement of a new historical game involving mesoamerican civilization, but the countdown is pointing towards the EGX Rezzed announcement on March 31st. So there “might” be something to it after all.
It’s also worth pointing out that last year this map (as seen in the picture above) was data mined from the game files indicating that Creative Assembly indeed plans to add Lustria, Naggaroth, The desert of Nehekhara and the Dark Lands. So “if” the community is right, then the next game will include Lustria and Naggaroth, and the rest will be added via DLC. Well, time will tell. So we will post an update of March 31st when we know more about the matter.
