It’s times like this that I really wish that I could go to the Gamescom 2017 event, but sadly enough I can’t (it’s mainly due to lack of time and founds…). You see, Megagon Industries just informed us that they are bringing a playable demo of their upcoming downhill mountain biking game “Lonely Mountains: Downhill” to Gamescom 2017:

“Hi !

We would like to invite you to play Lonely Mountains: Downhill at the Gamescom 2017 – the Downhill Mountain Biking Game for Win/Mac to be released early/mid 2018. A demo of Lonely Mountains: Downhill will be on public display as part of the Indie Arena Booth but if you want to get more information about it and chat with the developers feel free to make an appointment with us. You can find us in Hall 10.1 – Booth A-020 from Tuesday until Saturday but if you prefer we can also meet in the business area for a personal test session.”Megagon Industries

There will be a custom bike physics system, seamless tracks, a ragdoll crash system and much more to be enjoyed in the full version of “Downhill” (the game is set for an early/mid 2018 release to Windows and MAC).

Nevertheless, I’m going to see if I still could get a chance to play the demo some how (may the Gaming gods be with me!). As I’m really interested in giving “Downhill” a go :3 And for those who don’t know what this game is all about, here’s a brief introduction of “Downhill”:

“Just you and your bike – take it on a thrilling ride down an unspoiled mountain landscape. Make your way through thick forests, narrow trails and wild rivers. Race, jump, slide and try not to crash – all the way from the peak to the valley! Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a Downhill Mountain Biking Game for PC. Explore a beautiful and untouched nature, make your way down to the valley and take part in the ongoing contest for the high-score by finding the best short cuts or going cross-country.”

I bet that death will be stalking me throughout my gameplay sessions of “Downhill” (it’s a reference to Death from the “Discworld” series).

Other than that, Megagon Industries has just launched a brand-new pre-alpha trailer for “Lonely Mountains: Downhill”, and you can watch that video further down the page =) And with that said, what’s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
