As some of you might remember, I wrote my “The lewd RPG “Omega Labyrinth Z” isn’t coming to the West anymore” OP by the end of June (June 26th, to be exact). Well, since then it has become quite clear where Sony stands on the matter.

You see, besides the obvious fact that Sony made sure that “Omega Labyrinth Z” won’t see the day of light in the US and Europe. I also noticed that Sony PlayStation’s Shuhei Yoshida stated just recently that they need to cater to all genders, ages, races, sexual orientations.

omega labyrinth z the love for breasts

Boobs = Life, and “Omega Labyrinth Z” is full of lovely boobs :3 So I sure hope that the game will come to the US and Europe some day.

So what’s the big deal with that then? Well, I have a feeling that even more lewd games will get denied a US and Europe release in the future. Why? Because Sony will most likely try to “protect” everyone from lewd games like “Omega Labyrinth Z”.

I hope that I’m wrong, but that’s what my gut feelings is telling me. There might still be hope though, because just now I heard about a petition that aims to unban “Omega Labyrinth Z” from the U.S and Europe.

unban omega labyrinth z from the us and europe petition

Will Sony listen though? That’s the question…

Yes, that’s right. A guy of the name Kenan Dolle kicked-off the said “Omega Labyrinth Z” petition just recently:

“I, and many others, were looking forward to the western release of Omega Labyrinth Z. I, and many others, were shocked at the release being cancelled, not by the PEGI or ESRB, but by Sony America and Europe themselves. Omega Labyrinth Z had already been rated M and 18 by the ESRB and PEGI respectively. Games with these ratings released and advertised on Sony systems without issue. So we as a community ask for Sony to reverse this decision and allow for PQubeGames’s work not to go to waste and allow Omega Labyrinth Z to be sold in the west for Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.”Kenan Dolle

That’s right, it isn’t ESRB’s fault, they even approved “Omega Labyrinth Z” for the American market. In other words, it’s all on Sony that “Omega Labyrinth Z” won’t see a release in America and Europe.

I’m of course aware that petitions don’t exactly guarantee that anything will change at all. However, it’s a good start, and Dolle’s “Omega Labyrinth Z” petition is an excellent way to let Sony know what we think about their bs move to stop “Omega Labyrinth Z” from seeing a Europe and US release.

That’s also why I signed the petition just now. So as of right now, there are 44 signatures out of the first goal of 100 signatures. In all fairness though, I’m not quite sure how many signatures it would take for Sony to even bother to make a response to this petition (my guess would be 10,000), but the more noise we make the better (we need Sony to listen to us, and not those who hates lewd games).

“Omega Labyrinth Z” is a lewd rogue-like RPG for PS4 and PS Vita that focuses heavily on female breasts (GOTY all the way!).

So it would be great if everyone could sign the petition as soon as possible. Other than that, I would also like to point out that sites like Denofgeek called “Omega Labyrinth Z” “creepy”, while Comicbook called the game “gross”. My point would be that those sites (and others) made it even easier for Sony to make their decision not to allow “Omega Labyrinth Z” to be release in America and Europe, because I bet that Sony saw at least one out of the many articles where the said author thought that OLZ was gross, sexist, creepy or whatever.

“And perhaps now you’re starting to see why this game was banned. The sexual themes and presentation are very often over-the-top, and players are often asked to “stimulate” the female leads by physically touching their breasts or other bits and bobs through a touch-screen, or by using the analogue sticks. A few of these characters appear, and sound, very young, which is pretty gross.”Matthew Hayes, Comicbook.

Me, I’ve been looking forward to play “Omega Labyrinth Z” ever since I did my interview with D3 Publisher back in May of this year. So as you might imagine, I’m both angry and disappointed at Sony for not allowing “Omega Labyrinth Z” to be launched in the West (since when have video game boobs and lewd game content ever hurt anyone?).

Oh well *deep sigh* besides Dolle’s petition, one can only hope that “Omega Labyrinth Z” will be released to PC in the near future, because then I (and many others) might finally get a chance to play the game.

And with that said, what’s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
