Fiendish puzzle game meets cheesy action flick in this new iOS title from Squeezebox Software – with 50% of profits going to charity.
Press release:
16 MAY 2018 — Great news! A professor has finally found the cure to cancer! Slightly less-good news: she’s immediately been assassinated by terrorists, hell-bent on claiming the cure for nefarious means.
Such is the setup to Zero/Sum, an inventive new iOS game that fuses fiendish puzzle gameplay with a live-action, B-movie story. In her dying moments, the professor is able to erase valuable parts of her equations. As her student, Sarah, it falls to you to re-solve the puzzle, and re-cure cancer, before the terrorists do.
In addition to the main story mode, Zero/Sum also features a time trial mode – allowing players to try beating their best score on a random puzzle – and Daily Challenge, which adds 10 new puzzles every single day! What’s more, creator Sean Kearney will be donating 50% of the proceeds to charity – with the money to be split between The American Cancer Society and The COPD Foundation.
Despite the ever-expanding content, Zero/Sum retails for one fixed cost: $1.99, with no micro-transactions, and no paid add-on packs. And in buying a game about curing cancer, you really can contribute to curing cancer, among other good causes!
Zero/Sum is available now via the App Store.
