“THE ORIGIN: Blind Maid” is now available for the PS4

The Madrid-based (Spain) indie games publisher Badland Publishing and San Antonio-based (Paraguay) indie games developer Waraní Studios, today announced with great thrill and delight that their first-person horror game “THE ORIGIN: Blind Maid”, is now finally available for the PS4 via PSN.

The Game

The Origin Blind Maid is a first-person survival horror based on the legend of “The Blind Lady”, the spirit of Lucia Isabel that wanders around the Paraguayan Chaco.

You will have to take different roles to reach the end of the story.

You will embody the politician who tries to flee the country, his daughter Eliza who goes in search of him when she loses contact with him, and Vera, the assistant who is helping him to escape, among others.

Features:

– 1st Person Shooter

Use your weapons only when it is essential, ammunition is very scarce. Fight only when you have no other choice and run away when you can, only this way you will be able to resist until the end.

– Crafting

Mix herbs and objects following the instructions of an old alchemist to create temporary skills and black magic to fight enemies.

– Enemies

The Chaos produced by The Origin has created cursed beings. Some with tree-like appearance, others created accidentally by the Alchemist, and others products of evil, called Chimeras in the ancient texts.

– Varied and distorted environments

Sometimes you will have to deal with the abrupt changes in the environment that The Origin can create to disturb your mind. Be careful when turning every corner.

– Multiple Endings and New Game

You will have the opportunity to redeem or condemn your character so you can unlock the different endings. Continue playing in search of the different endings by recovering the acquired skills.

– Psychophonies

Use the headset of the protagonist (almost deaf in one ear), to hear voices and sounds from beyond to use them to your advantage.

– Puzzles

Solving puzzles will be an important part of the action and a real challenge, some of them will be complex although intuitive.

Chapter 0: Descent into madness

This console version brings, as additional content, the prologue called “Chapter 0: Descent into Madness” which tells how Vera, one of the central characters, goes mad, starting this extraordinary and terrifying story.

The Origin Blind Maid is much more than a game

Accompanying the release of the PlayStation 4 version, the guys from Waraní Studios will release at the end of this month their Documentary, The Origin of Evil, where through several interesting interviews they explore the relationship between human beings and fear.

On the occasion of the launch of The Origin Blind Maid, a Showcase will be held starting at 19:00 Paraguayan time and an event will be held at Alemania Cell’s facilities.
