Press release:
Warframe, the free-to-play, co-op action game known for its major game-enhancing updates is wrapping up 2015 with its biggest one yet. The Second Dream, launching for PC on December 2, 2015 is bringing a higher fidelity storytelling mechanic to the game in the form of a cinematic-driven Quest that will ultimately answer the question many players – better known as Tenno – have been asking for nearly three years, “What is a Warframe?”

Hailed as the largest update of the year, The Second Dream promises to bring a ton of exciting new content to the over 19 million Warframe players. In addition to a brand new Warframe and a ton of new gear and weapons, here’s a taste of what’s in store with the coming of The Second Dream.

First Cinematic Quest
A tale of revenge and betrayal unfolds in The Second Dream, Warframe’s first Quest to feature extensive cinematic storytelling — unveiling a whole new way to play and progress through the game. Experience a narrative that sees Tenno hunted by ghosts of the past through remnants of the Orokin’s lunar facilities. When the secrets of Orokin unravel, the Lotus and her warriors may never be the same. Devoted Warframe players will have the opportunity to begin this Quest right away while new players entering Warframe will need to train through several previous Quests before attempting The Second Dream.

Beyond The Second Dream

New PvP Map — Orokin Moonbase
Orokin technology holds some of the most coveted secrets across the Solar System, inspiring conflicts that have raged since their mysterious disappearance. Untouched for centuries, their lunar facilities have proven as difficult to explore as they have been well-defended — shifting hallways make exploration impossible for all but the most agile adventurers.

Ninjas Play Free-er
Warframe has evolved the free-to-play model through progressive play, offering a bounty of completely free content and giving player choice to spend money or not. Continuing that philosophy with The Second Dream update, Warframe is getting, well…free-er!

Currently, Tenno who fall in battle must receive aid from an ally or use one of four Revive Tokens that replenish each day or can be restocked with Platinum, the in-game premium currency. In response to popular demand, the purchasable Revive Token system has been removed and Tenno are no longer limited in their daily play. With the launch of The Second Dream, players will simply get four Revives per mission that are restocked upon return to their ship.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for this major update coming to Warframe. Keep an eye out at www.warframe.com for additional details as December 2 approaches. Console Tenno don’t fret, The Second Dream will reach PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before the end of the year!
