‘Lil Gator Game: In the Dark’ is out now!

Publisher Playtonic Friends and developer MegaWobble are delighted to announce that Lil Gator Game: In the Dark, the major new expansion to the much-loved cozy adventure, is out now via digital stores.

Available today on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series One & X|S, and Nintendo Switch, In the Dark is the big expansion for the beloved cozy adventure, inviting players into a whole new world hidden just beneath the island they thought they knew. The base Lil Gator Game is required to play the expansion digitally.

For collectors and first-time adventurers, Lil Gator Game: Gator of the Year Edition is also out today digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. This charming release includes both the original game and the In the Dark expansion, bringing Lil Gator’s complete adventure together in one adorable package. For fans who prefer something for their gaming shelves, the physical release of Lil Gator Game: Gator of the Year Edition, published by Silver Lining Interactive, will launch for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on 27 February!

To celebrate the launch, a brand-new trailer has been released, shining a spotlight on the quirky new ‘frenemies’ players will encounter underground, while showcasing the vibrant, mysterious world that exists just beneath the playground, packed with glowing caverns, hidden tunnels, and surprises.

In the Dark expands Lil Gator’s island with a sprawling underground playground that rivals the surface world in size and imagination. From bioluminescent caves to secret hideaways and winding passageways, exploration is filled with discovery, side quests, and new friends waiting just around the corner.

Lil Gator’s imagination gets an upgrade with new movement abilities and playful gadgets, including gymnastic ribbons for stylish double jumps and powerful ground-slamming moves. These new tools make exploration faster, freer, and more expressive than ever before.
