You might have heard of Live Rounds before? (over 30 million people are using their services) Well, for me it was a whole “new” kind of experience for me. Because i use Skype most of the time when it comes to Gaming, having webcam meetings and such.

Sure, Live Rounds offer that as well (even for 12 people at the same time). But i was way more interested in the fact that you can have a video chat with up-to 5 players in online PC games (HON, LOL and Diablo 3 for example).

Live rounds is a multiuser video chat service for up-to 12 users at the same time.

And i´m talking about High-definition video chats. And that´s innovation right there. So i´m not all that surprised to hear that both Sam Braithwaite (the marketing director for Heroes of Newerth) and Uri Marchand (the co-founder and CEO of Overwolf) are really impressed by Live Rounds video chat service for Gamers.

In fact, this is what Sam Braithwaite, Uri Marchand and  Dany Fishel (the co-founder and CEO of Rounds) had to say on the subject:

“Live Rounds allows gamers to have a more engaging experience when playing Heroes of Newerth,” said Sam Braithwaite, the marketing director for Heroes of Newerth, in a statement. “By using Live Rounds concurrently with Heroes of Newerth, players will add another layer of communication to their experience — the application is going to be an invaluable tool, especially in the competitive scene.”

“We’re thrilled that our mission to combine live communication with entertaining games, activities, and content will help shape the way gamers play games online,” said Dany Fishel, the co-founder and CEO of Rounds, in a statement. “By partnering with Overwolf, we feel we can add something new and edgy to an otherwise everyday activity.”

“Heroes of Newerth’s intense, team-oriented gameplay is ideal for using Live Rounds’ video chat technology,” said Uri Marchand, the co-founder and CEO of Overwolf, in a statement. “Games that require a high level of teamwork will benefit greatly from the ability to easily communicate.”

“It really is something new,” he said in an in email. “With Skype, I can’t play League of Legends and see my mates at the same time. This is the true innovation here.”

So, what do you guys think? Could Live Rounds be on to something here?
