Most of you are probably way too young to remember a game called “A boy and his blob“. Well, at least unless you have played WayForward Technologies 2009 release of the game. Any ways, in my case, I enjoyed the Gameboy version a whole lot as a kid (I laughed pretty hard at the fact that I could feed my blob different sorts of candy and whatnot). Even so, It´s been quite a while since I saw anything like that game (it´s almost seven years since WayForward´s game dropped). Nevertheless, just the other night I (Robin Ek, TGG) was contacted by an indie games studio called Invi Games, and they presented to me their upcoming adventure/puzzle/platformer “Drop Alive” (a game which gave me some serious “A boy and his blob” vibes):

“Hi there Robin, Guess this is the part where we’re supposed to get you interested in our game, huh? Right. We know you get dozens of emails on a daily basis of which, you’re only able to review the very best or else, the ones who strike you the most. In all honesty, we have no clue whether Drop Alive will meet the general requirements. The thing is, does it really matter?

Truth be told, Drop Alive is probably “a good game”, you know the type. But, the interesting bit is that it’s free to play. No, not -that- kind. There’s no In-App purchase and for God’s Sake, there’s no advertising either. We decided to take the plunge and launch Drop Alive for free, since we want to reach out as much people as we can. Also, for those willing to contribute with the game, we’ve got an exclusive Deluxe Edition http://store.steampowered.com/app/556570/, containing Skins, Artworks and such.

Fun Fact? Drop Alive was chosen GOTY at last year’s “Meet The Game” edition and it’s 100% hand-drawn. Moreover, it’s launched by Ipsilon, the very first Latin American Indie Games Publisher,.

Last but not least, Drop Alive will be available on Steam due December 6.” – Invi Games

In other words, Invi informed me about three other things as well. 1. The deluxe edition of “Drop Alive” drops on Steam on the 6th of December (Windows), 2. Drop Alive has been greenlit on Steam Greenlight and 3. I´ve been given one Steam key for the deluxe edition of the game.
