I find it to be somewhat funny that I did receive an e-mail about the 2016 Mod of the Year Awards, but not one for the 2016 indie of the year awards (I guess that someone missed to contact us about that one…). Any ways, thanks to Cotton Candy Cyanide I just was informed that indieDB´s 2016 edition of the ndie of the year awards has kicked-off:
“Welcome to the 7th Annual Indie of the Year Awards, a celebration of the years finest indie games chosen by you and us. For the next 4 weeks it is up to you to vote for your favorite indie games so that they may make the top 100 which will be announced on the 11th of December. Last year we saw galaxy-traversing sandbox Space Engineers take out first place, followed with the tactical shooter Squad as runner-up with the 90’s nostalgia inducing Black Mesa finishing third on the podium. Read our players choice or editor’s choice for the full results and start voting to help award the prestigious title of the 2016 Indie of the Year. Good luck everyone!” – IndieDB
That´s freaking awesome news with no doubt. However, you will only be able to vote for the next seven days henceforth. Because once the countdown clock hits zero, IndieDB will go through all the votes for the +10K games that are up for voting and then announce the 2016 top 100 indie games list (a new vote section will take place once that list has been published). In other words, don´t forget to vote for your favorite indie game (s) as soon as possible! (you will find everything that you need to know in the links down below).
And with that said, which indie game (s) do you plan to vote for? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
