I (Robin Ek, TGG) just woke up to the great news that “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” is set for a release to the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of April this year. Yes, that’s correct, and I heard it from Nintendo Sweden directly (Swedish to English translation via Google translate):

“Enjoy the ultimate version of Mario Kart 8 anywhere, anytime and by anybody when it is released on 28 April. You can play with up to 8 friends locally. All favorite tracks and characters from the Wii U version is with and all DLC tracks and figurines. Altogether there are 48 levels from the start. In addition, it pops up new characters that Inkling Boy and Girl from Splatoon and King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Jr.! That means you have 42 drivers to choose from.

In addition, Battle Mode refined and include Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast, as well as the new tracks Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium and classics (GCN) Luigi’s Mansion and (SNES) Battle Course 1. Players can now have two items on the including objects from previous Mario Kart games such as Boo, who steal objects and Feather, which gives you greater hope in the battle mode.

There is also a new control mode in the game that makes it easier for beginners and small children to play tracks. Clearly good at 200cc and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can be played in 1080p. Playing with other people is always fun, but even more fun in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There are four ways to do this:

– Up to four players can play on the same Nintendo Switch to TV mode or table mode.
– You will be able to play it online. Two players can go online and local play in races of up to 12 players simultaneously.
– Play with multiple Nintendo Switch-game consoles wireless connected. Up to eight people in the same room can play that way.
– Up to 12 consoles can be in TV mode, connected via LAN Play with 1-2 players per Nintendo Switch.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also uses many different amiibo. Try using amiibo Super Mario-, Animal Crossing- and Splatoon series.”Nintendo Sweden (Bergsala AB)

Furthermore, there is a brand-new trailer for “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” as well (which, in my opinion, looks really great). So feel free to check it out down below =)
