I (Robin Ek, TGG) received a very pleasant surprise yesterday. You see, Babyduka informed us (TGG) via Twitter that our “Urban Pirate” video had been picked as nr 4 in Babyduka’s “Top five moments in Urban Pirate 2016” video =) (don’t forget to check out our “Urban Pirate” PC preview!).

“Urban Pirate”is a turn-based 2D urban crime simulator that feels and looks like a mix of “The Last Ninja“, “Skate or Die”, “Ghostbusters” and “Pizza Tyccon 1”.

Well, that sure came out of nowhere for me at least. As I didn’t see it coming at all. As for the “I wish that he had made a whole series of video for Urban Pirate” part (that was brought up in Babyduka’s video). At the time, I had no idea if people would even like the video that I made. So pretty much every video that I make is like a pilot episode. In other words, I make more videos from the same game if people enjoy what I do. However, in the case with “Urban Pirate“, it was the kind of video that slowly grew in popularity over time (I think the video went from 50 views, to almost 700 views in a week). So when I finally realized that people enjoyed what they saw, I was already neck-deep in other projects.

Anyways, I’m happy that we got picked as nr 4 by Babyduka in their video =) And who knows? I might make a new “Urban Pirate” video in the near future.
