I got some really good news to share about Ink Stains Games upcoming open-world RPG “Stoneshard” (the game is currently in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch), because HypeTrain Digital just informed us that “Stoneshard” has managed to reach its 30,000 USD Kickstarter goal in just one week:

“Huge news — Stoneshard has reached its initial Kickstarter goal of $30k in just 7 days! It means that now the game will certainly get made and published according to our plans — the release on Steam Early Access is scheduled for Late 2018, with console versions to follow after full PC release.

Stoneshard is an open-world roguelike RPG with immense tactical freedom, an in-depth caravan management system and hardcore survival elements, set in a devastated medieval world. It’s pretty darn impressive that “Stoneshard” reached it’s 30,000 USD goal in just one week. So hands down and props to Ink Stains Games and HypeTrain Digital.

In other words, “Stoneshard” is going to happen for real =) So that means that we should be able to play the game on PC via the Steam early access program by the end of this year (the console release of “Stoneshard” will follow after the launch of the PC version). Furthermore, I bet that “Stoneshard” will manage to reach some of its stretch goals as well, because there’s about 24 days left on Stoneshard’s Kickstarter campaign (50,000 USD unlocks new dungeons and enemies, and 75,000 USD unlocks the “Ancestors forlorn” expansion pack).

Well, time will tell. As for here and now though, there is a free prologue for “Stoneshard” that you could download and try out (I’m doing that myself, and I like the game so far).
