I can only speak for myself now. But S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will always be nr 1 in my book when it comes to post apocalyptic FPS games (yes, i liked it more than Fallout 3 for example).

So it was a really hard blow for me when i found out about the cancellation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 back in December 2011 (GSC Game World). Because i really, really wanted to play that game.

Sure, there´s of course expansions such as “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky” (2008 ) and “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat” (2010). And awesome mods such as “STALKER Complete 2012” and “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Lost Alpha“.

But even so, it´s not quite “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2“, if you know what i mean. But i got my hopes up when i heard about Vostok Games (their team is full of ex S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs) FPS/MMO ecological catastrophe game “Survarium“.

Mainly because most of the people who worked on S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, now works on “Survarium”.

Mother nature strikes back in “Survarium”.

But it´s been rather quite about “Survarium”. In fact, there has been no new videos since Gamescom 2014 last year (sep 2014). And “Survarium” is still a TBA title at this time.

And that makes me wonder what kind of faith awaits “Survarium”? Let´s just say that i hope that it´s not the same kind of faith that S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 experienced.

Because “Survarium” looks really great, so it would be a damn shame if the game would just get cancelled in the end.

So i really hope that Vostok Games will show us some new gameplay fotage from”Survarium” asap!
