Flat Chest Dev’s “Lucy Got Problems” is an adult yuri visual novel following the adventures of the rather easily side-tracked (and lover of food) Lucy, who after arriving in an Elven forest, can’t initially remember her mission. Things get even worse when she is attacked by some pretty hostile squirrels.
The story is told as part of a narrative given by Lucy to her superior after completing an assigned mission, through which she had hoped to be able to get more information about her superior’s underwear. It is a very funny and lewd story, both with Lucy’s reaction to her environment and the people (and objects) she meets. It also has an undercurrent of horror, especially if you decide to explore a swamp.
Quite a few options are available along the way, affecting the story – usually at the cost of your life, so it always pays to choose the right option. Fortunately, when you die, you can restart from the last choice, which is handy if you forgot to save your progress, although, of course, it will shorten gameplay length. However, how you play the game is determined by the selected mode when you start a new gameplay
As with most visual novels, it’s just a matter of clicking (or clicking on the Auto) button to move through each scene and read the story, and (where needed) select an option. Most of these are time-limited, so your choice does have to be made quickly (“be quick or be dead“, as Iron Maiden would have said. Well, not dead, but you get the point).
Quite a lot of the narration is Lucy talking about her current predicament. In other words, it takes a short while before you meet anyone after the initial squirrel attack, and the people who you do meet are two Elves (with one being rather timid and the other taking an instant dislike to you).
So depending on a choice you get depends on how quickly you meet other characters, one of which does not have your welfare in mind.
So, what about visuals then? Well, “Lucy Got Problems” graphics are very nice, and no doubt a lot of care has been taken here. There are quite a lot of background animation and at times, various other effects (which also includes flashing effects). So for those with photosensitive problems, one should be careful around these scenes.
At the moment, the version on Steam is an “all ages” version. However, a 18+ DLC (which apparently will be free) is being developed. Even so, the release date is currently unknown. Nevertheless, even the “all ages” version holds up pretty well, and speaking of holding up.
Any failure in the game is preceded by various sardonic comments by Taimat before you die, at which point you can either reload or return to your last option.
Other than that, I noticed one rather unusual aspect of the graphics in the game, and that would the jiggle physics for the main character (which are especially noticeable when she is surprised, and is certainly a nice… addition…to Lucy…Later on). I mean, I don’t mind, not at all. I just found it to be something out of the “ordinary” and something that really stood out on the visuals front *cough cough.
It’s also worth mentioning that the game’s quests are rather entertaining. For example, there is an amusing card selection choice given by a Seer, which starts your quest to look for a specific type of weed – to find this you have to click on various objects on the screen in the hope of finding what the Seer wanted (fail and it’s game over).
As for the writing of “Lucy got problems”. Well, the writing is generally pretty good, although some of the English is a bit strange in parts, but doesn’t really detract from the story. Furthermore, the humor and characters are on point (think of animes such as “Tenchi Muyo”, “Slayers” and “El Hazard”). The same could also be said about most of the game’s visuals and graphics for that matter.
That’s also why I think that Flat Chest Dev has managed to create a really awesome, sexy, naughty and fun yuri visual novel with “Lucy Got Problems”. So in my opinion, “Lucy Got Problems” is a must play for fans of +18 erotic yuri comedy visual novels.

Verdict: 4/5
Flat Chest Dev’s lewd yuri comedy visual novel “Lucy got problems” offers a very funny story, which also has a fair bit of drama too. That’s just the half of it though, because the game contains lovely visuals, animated graphics and music with a diverse amount of sexy characters as well. So all of that will make “Lucy got problems” into a very popular game title among fans of lewd yuri visual novels for sure, especially when the adult version comes out.
