I don’t recall that I have ever mentioned it before, but I’ve been a fan of point-and-click adventure games since the first “Simon the Sorcerer” game got released back in 1993.

I got so many awesome childhood memories from “Simon the sorcerer 1” (I honestly need to reinstall and play through the first two games again as soon as possible).

So I have more or less played adventure games of that kind for over 26 years time. That’s also why I tend to get rather excited every time I hear that a new point-and-click adventure game is in the making.

Well, today just happens to be my lucky day, because Casual Brothers just informed us that their Western themed point-and-click adventure game “Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs” is coming to Steam on March 15th:

“Hello Robin!

Take a look at Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs for Steam, the remastered version of the point and click classic which appeared on PC back in 1996 (the game is coming to Steam on March 15th).

Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs is a cult title which received the highest praise from both the press and the great fans of the genre. Set in the Wild West, the game features a witty plot and delirious dialogues.

Just to put you in context, Fenimore Fillmore is a veteran of the American Civil War who will have to explore the area around the border with Mexico, solve hundreds of puzzles, and interact with more than 30 strambotic characters.

Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs is developed by Casual Brothers, an independent video game studio, creators of hits such as Fenimore Fillmore: The Westerner (Steam, iOS, Android), OT 2017 (PS4, Switch), Levántate (PS4, Switch), and Orc Attack (Steam, PS3, 360).Casual Brothers

“Fenimore Fillmore” looks and feels like a mix of “Outlaws”, “Monkey Island” and “Sam and Max”.

That’s great news for everyone who loves adventure games with no doubt. Truth be told though, I have no idea (whatsoever) that the original “Fillmore” game got released back in 1996.

As a matter of fact, I don’t even remember ever seeing a magazine or TV ad for “Fenimore Fillmore”.

Oh well, I could always give the remastered version of “Fenimore Fillmore” a go =) And speaking of which, don’t miss out on the “Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs” trailer! (you can watch the trailer further down the page)

And with that said, what’s your take on “Fenimore Fillmore: 3 Skulls of the Toltecs” so far?
