Well this sure came as a big surprise for me. Sure, i had no idea what “Giana Sisters” (it´s a action/platform series) was all about when the first game got released back in 1987. But “Giana Sisters DS” caught my attention back in 2009. So my interest for the Giana Sisters grew, that´s also how i found out about the original game. That´s awesome of course, but here´s the thing.
I had no clue (whatsoever) that there existed two more games in the Giana Sisters series. But i found out about “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams” (the game was originally released back in 2012) and the director´s Cut version today. And it was all thanks to a tweet by Black Forest Games (they are the developers of the game).
So is “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams” any good then? Well, the PC-version has a 69.71% average score on gamerankings.com. That´s not all that good, the soundtrack is really good though (thanks to Chris Hülsbeck, Machinae Supremacy and Fabian Del Priore). The Director´s Cut edition for PS4 and Xbox One however (there´s no PC-version at this time), that game has average score of 88.33%. Sadly enough though, i don´t own a PS4 or a XBox One at this time.
That´s also why i hope that Black Forest Games will release the director´s cut version of “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams” to PC as well. Speaking of “Giana Sisters”, did you know that there´s a “Giana Sisters 2” in development for PS4, Xbox One and Wii U? Well, it´s true! And the game is set for a late 2015 or early 2016 release.
So i think it´s safe to say that the Giana Sisters is back in business again for sure!
