I have seen a lot of animes with different themes since the late 80s. Even so, I can’t say that I’ve seen or heard about all that many animes that are based on volleyball. Well, that just happens to be the case with Nyoijizai’s manga “Harukana Receive” (the first episode is said to premiere in July). Me, I’ve never even heard of that manga before, and that even though Harukana Receive’s first volume launched back in 2015.

I’m aware that this tweet is from 25th of March, but this is the original tweet about when the “Harukana Receive” anime will kick-off (the first episode is said to air in July this summer).
To my defense though, the first English translated volume of the manga won’t be released before the third of July this year. So that might explain why I haven’t heard of “Harukana Receive” before (the second volume will drop on the 30th of October this year).

Japan is dead serious about their events. So I bet that the “Harukana Receive” event is going to be a real blast! (the event kicks-off on the 30th of June in Tokyo via United Cinemas Toyosu).
Anyways, by pure luck I spotted two tweets by the official “Harukana Receive” on Twitter last night, and that’s how I even found out about the manga and the upcoming anime. You see, the first tweet was about the anime studio C2C’s plans to release the first anime episode of “Harukana Receive”, and the second tweet was about the upcoming plans for a “Harukana Receive” event in Tokyo. Furthermore, thanks to those tweets I also discovered the first anime trailer for “Harukana Receive” (you can watch the said trailer further down the page).

“Harukana Receive” originally started of as a volleyball manga by Nyoijizai, Houbunsha and Seven Seas Entertainment (the first issue of “Harukana Receive” dropped back in October of 2015).

Based on what I’ve seen from the very first trailer of “Harukana Receive”, I have to say that the animations and characters are truly well made (I also find the story to be rather interesting).
Well, I truly enjoyed the trailer (and so did a whole lot of other anime fans, just check the like ratio on the trailer!). So I’m really excited to watch the first anime episode of “Harukana Receive” =) And for those who have no idea whatsoever what “Harukana Receive” is all about, here’s a short description of the anime and manga story:
“The story takes place in Okinawa, where Haruka forms a beach volleyball pair with Kanata. Kanata, who couldn’t handle the pressure put on her by her short height, had given up on beach volleyball already but is convinced by Haruka to step back on the sand once again and aim for the junior tournament.”

The first trailer of “Harukana Receive” contained a whole lot fanservice. So by the looks of it, that’s how the series is going to be for most part (nice :3). Then again, it’s an anime about sexy girls who plays volleyball. So fanservice is bound to happen no matter what.

Female beach volleyball is easily one of the best sports to watch for sure (for more than one obvious reason). So I bet that “Harukana Receive” will do really well among both sport and anime fans worldwide one the first episodes air in July this summer.
As for the talent team behind the “Harukana Receive”, here’s a list of everyone involved in the production of the anime:
Directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka
Written by Touko Machida
Music by Rasmus Faber
Studio: C2C
Voice cast:
Haruka Ōzora
Voiced by: Kana Yūki
Kanata Higa

Narumi Tōi

There are plenty of cute girls to be found in “Harukana Receive”. In other words, there should be a girl of everyone’s liking to be found in the anime (and manga) for sure.

It’s going to be really interesting to see how Kanata (she quit beach volleyboll because she thought that she was too short for the sport) will perform throughout the anime version of “Harukana Receive”.
And with that said, are you excited for the anime launch of “Harukana Receive”? (me, I can’t wait for the anime to launch) Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
