Football Manager 2022, the new part of the iconic football manager simulator series, has recently been released.

The Football Manager series is a hegemon in the soccer management genre, and there is simply no real competitor to it today. So at a time when not many matches are being played on 20bet.com/ca/prematch, this game will be a great substitute. Let’s take a look at what the developers added this time, and answer the key question: is Football Manager 2022 worth adding to your collection?

3D Matches

If you’ve been sitting on an old version of Football Manager for a long time, the updated 3D matches engine is exactly the reason to buy the new version. Externally the picture is on the same level with FIFA 05, but this is not the main thing in FM. The main thing you should pay attention to is the physics of the players’ behavior.

Dribbling, handling, dribbling, passes, shots on goal look cool compared to previous versions. If you play for PSG, Mbappe will delight you with his signature tweaks. If you look closely, you can see how the player places his ankle when he passes or kicks.

The VAR system has changed for the better. While in Football Manager 2021 it only caused goals or other refereeing decisions to be cancelled, this year everything looks pretty balanced. If a player was really offside, after looking at the VAR the referee will make a decision accordingly.

Deadline Day and Transfers

Deadline Day has been completely redesigned. While in previous versions of the game we were just given tables with the deals completed, this is a completely new design. The list of transfers is still there, but on top of that, we are given information on rumors, who wants to sign who as well as unfinished deals which are still in the first offer discussion phase.

It has become easier to keep track of interest in your players from other clubs and benefit from the sale of players whose contracts will soon expire. Thus, the developers have added more realism and drama to Deadline Day.

Data Hub

The team report has turned from a couple of charts and lines of text into an incredible section with functionality that will be useful for every manager. The developer has created functionality that fully replicates analyst reporting in real life.

Managers can analyze the behavior of the team and individual players to identify strengths and weaknesses that need to be developed in training. Updated schedules will allow for faster identification of problematic and effective areas of the team’s actions. And this is just a small part of the functionality that is presented in FM22.

We got a look at the detailed graphs of the teams’ offensive and defensive actions. You can see not only how the players of your club are playing, but also how their opponents are performing in the matches against you, and even compare these indicators with the league average.

The graph showing the direction of assists in the match will allow you to analyze the team’s play and make the necessary adjustments. You can request an analytical report on any of your players and see the effectiveness of your tactics against other tactics and formations.
