I´ve had a rather strong relationship to Canada even though I´m born and raised in Sweden, and the reason behind that would be spelled NHL, Bret Hart, Kids in the hall (god bless that show!) and video games. So I´m not a stranger to Canada by far, and over the years, my relationship to Canada grew even stronger. Especially thanks to the world of games. As I enjoyed Canadian AAA game titles such as: “Company of Heroes“, “Homeworld”, “Baldur’s Gate”, “Dragon Age”, “Mass Effect”, “Neverwinter Nights” and “Star Wars: The Old Republic” (just to name a few titles). Even, I lost touch with the Canadian game scene for a while, since I got all hooked up JRPG games for quite sometime.

“Darkest Dungeon” is a really good gothic roguelike turn-based RPG by Red Hook Studios.

However, I found my way back to the Canadian games again thanks to the indie scene, and that is mainly thanks to indie games such as: “Sword & Sworcery EP”, “Invisible, Inc.”, “TowerFall: Dark World”, “Crypt of the NecroDancer“, “Darkest Dungeon” and “Mark of the Ninja”.

So as you might imagine, I´ve become a fan of Canada based game studios such as:
DrinkBox Studios, Silicon Knights, Relic Entertainment, BioWare, Capybara Games, Ubisoft Montreal and Hinterland Games. Even so, I have to say that I had no idea who Russell Potvin was (I don´t think his related to the NHL stars Denis Potvin and Felix Potvin). Well, at least not uptil this point. You see, as it all turns out. Potvin has over 10 years’ experience in the gaming industry, as his been making gaming websites for players in Canada for +10 years.

Silicon Knights have made awesome games such as “Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain”, “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem” and “Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes”.

Speaking of which. Russell Potvin just happens to be the owner of a really awesome online casino Gaming site called grizzlygambling.com.
