Survival in Apex Legends requires constant movement. Of course, some players still prefer to stay out of dangerous areas, hiding and waiting for the right moment to take down an opponent with a sniper rifle.

This could also work for a while. But we would recommend you keep moving across the map for better results!

Here are some environment and movement-oriented tips to help bring your playing style to a completely new level!

Fall Damage

There is no such thing as fall damage in Apex Legends. And it is great! This fact allows players to move faster, not bothering about their safety – you can even jump off a building, and nothing will happen!

Speed

First of all, here is one thing to remember – all characters available in the game move at the same pace by default, even if it seems that some are slower, it is just a matter of camera location! However, there are a few tricks that will make you faster:

– Sliding – it is possible to slide down the hill, which is faster than running.

– Add a jump – sliding keeps you moving faster and makes it harder for your opponents to shoot you, and if you add a jump at the end of each slide, this will allow you to continue siding with the same speed right after you land.

– Without weapons in your hands, you can move for longer distances, and your speed gets significantly higher.

Red Balloons

Getting from one point to another is much faster with the help of big red balloons scattered across the King’s Canyon. It also can help you to get away from a fight or study the new area (the view on the area is better from the top).

Sounds

If you are new to this battle royale, this will be a good thing to know – whenever you are landing, flying, walking, and using zip lines, you don’t make any noise. This enables you to catch your enemies by surprise with, let’s say landing right behind them from one of the balloons.

Crouching

It is impossible to lie down in the game; all you can do is crouch.

Stats Tracking

Check your Apex Legends Stat to keep track of the best players.

Wiggle

This is one of the most essential and vital skills for the game. While looting can make you quite vulnerable, wiggling, on the other hand, keeps you moving even when you loot.

This way you are harder to shoot, so this is a skill you should master! Note that you can’t do this when bringing back an ally at the Respawn Beacon.
