Game sequels are somewhat similar to movie sequels. We all love to love and to hate them.
Some say that such a race for sequels kills new original franchises, but at GamesMojo.com, we’re convinced that sequels can bring great new experiences.
I mean, just look at GTA, The Legend of Zelda, Uncharted, Borderlands, and Call of Duty. They only become better with every next chapter! Here are the titles that we strongly wish to be continued in the nearby future.
The Grand Theft Auto series excites the minds of millions. Its latest installment, GTA 5 became the second best selling video game and the most grossing media product of all time.
It amazed everyone with a large and incredibly alive open world, astonishing graphics, utterly realistic physics, and, of course, a groundbreaking plot with loads of hilarious jokes and action-packed cinematic scenes.
In October, the former Rockstar India employee, Angith Jayarajan, told StayAbode that he worked at some unannounced Rockstar titles. Unfortunately, he could say nothing else, but the first thought that came to mind was “ It’s GTA 6”. How will it look, what will it be about, where, and when is impossible to figure out.
Following the old Rockstar tradition, the announcement will be unexpected and quiet. Presumably, it will be in 2020 with the release of the new generation of consoles.
Kotaku is one of the most trusted gaming news resources, and the only one that found that the next Bioshock chapter is currently in development, codename Parkside. What a rapture if it’s true! BioShock is one of our favorite titles at GamesMojo.com.
It’s genial creator, Ken Levine, combined the best FPS mechanics with a mind-blowing story and exquisite game design. BioShock is stylish and intimidating, beautiful and obnoxious, and definitely unforgettable, so we keep a special place in our hearts for the next chapter.
Bully is a rare game that shows how an unusual story can turn out to be a loud success in the right hands. Rockstar Games haven’t made any announcements about the titles over the last 13 years.
However, the community of devoted fans is still hoping for a sequel to come. It’s too early for the next RDR, GTA 6 remains a rumor, Max Payne seems to be of business, and Angith Jayarajan says that the company works on multiple titles. One of them can be Bully 2!
For many gamers, Diablo is another name for the RPG genre. Diablo 3 is still a well-grossing game, giving Blizzard fuel along with Overwatch, WoW, and Hearthstone.
But anyway, the genre is transforming, and we need a new great journey to Tristram. Diablo has something that no similar games have, so we can’t wait to make a review of Diablo 4 as soon as a copy comes to GamesMojo.com.
Portal deserves to be called the greatest puzzle game ever. The 2 chapters are true masterpieces, so it’s not clear why Valve hasn’t attempted to come up with a new entry for almost 9 years.
But wait, maybe Gabe Newell is the main obstacle for new good games to appear? Hopefully, he will see how much the new Portal 3 can bring to the studio and change his mind.
Of course, this article is not even close to being the full list of sequels that we’d like to play. Though, these titles are the hottest. Hopefully, at least a couple of rumors will turn out to be true, and we’ll savor the continuation of legendary titles soon.
