Just recently I spoke to Sagi from Metroid-Database via Twitter (I´ve been a fan of their site since 1998), because as you might now. Nintendo´s action/adventure/platformer “Metroid” turns 30 years old on the 6th of August. And that´s something which I want to celebrate big time. You see. I have been a fan since the very first game, and the “Metroid” series holds a very special place in my Gamer heart. Any ways, Sagi informed me that Metroid30th is working on a Metroid 30th anniversary fan tribute video. And they need your help to make it happen:

“Attention Metroid fans!
We would like to put together a video of tributes from Metroid fans to mark the 30th anniversary. We would like Metroid fans from across the world to give us a short video of themselves in front of the camera giving their tribute to Metroid. A selection of these will be compiled into one large video and released on the anniversary.

If you’re interested, we do have some guidelines:
– Your video must be no longer than 20 seconds in length. This is to ensure we can fit as many tributes in as possible.
– A video size no smaller than 1280×720 in landscape orientation so videos can remain consistent throughout
– Video format of MP4, WMV or MOV desirable
– Good, clear audio to ensure we can hear you clearly!
– Video submissions must be sent to [email protected] with the subject line “Metroid 30th Anniversary tribute”
– Videos MUST be sent to us by July 31st for consideration

We will also require you to upload your video somewhere with a link we can easily access to download from (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, Mediafire)
Five years ago, Shinesparkers created a video tribute for the 25th anniversary, we have included this below as an example of what we are going for this time around. If you have any questions, please leave a message below!”

Let´s turn Metroid´s 30th anniversary into a memorable one!

In other words, if you´re interested in becoming a part of the Metroid 30th anniversary fan-tribute video. Then you should make a “Metroid” tribute video that´s no longer than MAX 20 seconds (check out the “Metroid 25th Anniversary Fan Tribute” video for some inspiration). And you must send in the video to Metroid30th before the 31st of July (send your video to [email protected]). So there you have it folks, now, go and create the beste Metroid 30th anniversary video there is! And one last thing, don´t forget to listen to SamoStudios awesome “The Last Metroid – Epic Samus Symphony” song.
