When you really set down and consider things it would be easy to say that the world revolves around a great deal of luck.
Yes, you might have been more than qualified for that promotion, but there were also 30 other candidates that were just as qualified, if not more qualified, so how was it you that got the promotion?
Was it luck? This is a very good question and one that people ask themselves each and every day. This is especially true for the avid gambler.
All that aside, it is also easy to overestimate the power and importance of this luck. Sure, luck factors in, but that doesn’t mean that the entire situation was based on luck.
Yes, your skills, as well as the way you interrupt the situation and react, can have an impact on the overall outcome of the situation.
And, this is why some individuals walk away leaving thousands or even millions on the table when they could have easily cleaned up. These individuals are playing what is known as the long game.
There is no denying that the long game is not enticing. It is not one that is noticeable or draws a lot of attention. And, this is because it is kind of boring. However, if it is a road that you are willing to go down at an early age or earlier in the process then you could potentially see extraordinary results.
The long game is one that usually ends up changing how you conduct your personal and business affairs. However, one should never ignore the power of luck and the effect that it can have on any outcome.
There is an old popular saying that goes something like this: If you do the same thing as other then you can expect to see the same results. You already know this isn’t exactly true down to the letter, but it is true in most cases.
There are always ways that you can be different than others but it usually ends up with you making a major trade-off between the long and short games.
Sure, the long game seems boring, but you have to look at the overall importance of the process. Sure, most individuals that play games with online sites like agen sbobet like to take the short game approach, but you really never can underestimate the importance of the long game.
It is one that could prepare you for the future. Instead of going out and playing, you could stay in and study.
This will not only help you with this test but look at how the information that you learned will come in handy later in life or for other tests. This is the basis of the long game and why it is so important.
Are you a procrastinator? If so, you constantly put off tasks as long as possible. Have you ever heard of the term “short game”? The term refers to the delaying of important and non-important tasks.
With that said, the short game also means that instead of completing tasks, the individual opts to do something exciting and easy.
Some people opt to put off difficult tasks until a later date. While this seems like a good idea, it does not make the task go away. The task is still there, so you will eventually have to do it. The short game is an easy way out but only temporarily.
