Let’s start by saying that there’s no perfect way to win at blackjack. That said, there are ways to win big at blackjack.

The end goal needs to be to beat the dealer at the game. Always keep in mind what the goal of the game is. In this case, you need to keep your losses low and your winnings very high. For this, start with a cautious approach to the game.

But this doesn’t mean that you play safe through the game. No, start with being careful but your wins should push you to increase your bet bit by bit.

In blackjack, it seems that losses and wins come with friends. In that, you never have a single win or a single loss. They appear in streaks. A few wins, and then a few losses. However, this is nothing that has been proven by research theory but it’s a gut feeling that most seasoned players speak of.

So once you realize this, you can accordingly change your bet and raise the amount just a little each time. Once you think the streak is ending, you can moderate the bet as you see fit. So, use the streak concept to decide the pace of your bets and winnings.

The reverse is also true. If you’re feeling especially brave, increase your bet when you lose. Yes, you read right- when you lose. Remember the streak we talked about? It works for losses too. Yes, you lose money, but when the streak ends, you stand to gain big.

Now, none of this will work if you’re not aware of what is needed the most- the house edge. It’s not so easy to win at this game. The casino has to ensure its own safety. It does it by maintaining the edge. Always keep that in mind. This means quit while you’re ahead.

While the fundamental rules of blackjack stay the same, there are many versions of the game. Always know which version you’re playing and know the rules very well, before you place your initial bet.

You shouldn’t lose sight of how much money you hold in your hand at any point in the game. If you find that you’re going over by more than what you had in mind, cut your losses, and leave the game. Your bankroll should determine how high or low you go. This way, you will always have money to bet on at the table.

Online casinos offer ample opportunity to practice the game. Try your winning blackjack strategy in the many free games being offered there before you actually play real money blackjack.

This will save you time and trouble and will sharpen your game as well. Offline, in the real casino, keep an eye on the body language of the people around you- from the dealer to fellow players- you can learn a lot there as well.

The strategy for any game in any casino is moderation. It’s likely that you get ahead of yourself when you’re winning- after all, a win is exhilarating. But if you want to stay in for the long haul, you have to keep your seat at the table for long too. So bet carefully, and use your strategy well.
